joshuawxyz changelog 20261101

Refreshing and updating many things on this site today, and I’m going to log them here as I do them.

Changes Made 2026-11-01

re-established this changelog for my website
updated the home page text
re-enabled the home page image gallery
included cover/poster images from all my various “currently” logs in the re-enabled home page image gallery
made some other small changes/corrections to the home page formatting and the footer
made progress towards creating some hugo/obsidian templates and iOS shortcuts that will allow me to post daily snapshots here with considerably less friction

make my watching log accurate and complete for 2026, including syncing in my diary entries, reviews, lists, and challenges already posted on letterboxd
make my music listening log accurate and complete for 2026, including syncing in my frequent listens and favorites from my music listening history on last.fm and also possibly my lists on Album Whale, since it is the best agnostic cross-platform method way to provide listening links that I’ve been able to find
make my reading log accurate with the books I have actually read this year. I haven’t been keeping track of this anywhere except in private daily notes in Obsidian, so I don’t even have a more accurate place to link to in the meantime
ditto with my playing log, though there is really only one or two other games to add there that I have really played this year (Hollow Knight).
set up my ‘links with occasional context’ link sharing round-ups that I have had on my mind for years now
set up a ‘places’ location visiting log?
make the image gallery on the home page where you can toggle between types of images shown (snapshots, screenshots, album/book/game/movie covers, etc.) also make individual image gallery pages for each of these different types of images, and possibly make a shortcode of some sort that allows me to add an image gallery into any post I choose.
